Akamai Incubation

The Akamai Incubation Program supports early-stage startups working in water, climate, and sustainability through structured mentorship, funding opportunities, and ecosystem connections. Implemented by the International Centre for Clean Water (ICCW) – Waterpreneur Studio (WPS), the program helps innovators validate their ideas, strengthen their problem–solution fit, and develop impactful solutions for real-world challenges. It enables entrepreneurs to build, refine, and scale sustainable innovations with the right support and resources.

Program Offering:

🧠 Develop core entrepreneurial skills and strengthen business acumen.
💡 Build innovation-driven leadership capabilities through practical techniques.
💰 Receive grants of up to ₹5 lakhs upon achieving eligible milestones.
🚀 Pitch for the Akamai Accelerator Program after successful incubation and MVP validation.

Eligibility Criteria

👨‍💻 Early-Stage Startups : Water startups with an idea or prototype, aiming to develop and validate an MVP.

🤝 Committed Founding Team : Relevant expertise, full-time involvement, and clear potential for impact.

🏢India-Registered : Registered in India and compliant with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

The startups onboarded in the incubation program will get a chance to pitch their ideas to the Akamai CSR committee. The shortlisting will happen in February. The selected startups will get a grant cum incubation program at ICCW. Sattva Consulting is the Monitoring and Evaluation partner for the program. Cohort I will be onboarded in December.

Who can apply:

Company age should not be more than 5 years from the date of incorporation
Technology Readiness (TRL 3-5) and Business Readiness (BRL 3-5)
